These terms and conditions apply to orders placed in The Skären’s online store.
Products
The online store sells digital gift cards, which are delivered in PDF format via email to the purchaser or the recipient.
All prices include value-added tax (VAT).
Ordering and Contract
A binding contract is formed when the customer accepts the order and completes the payment in the online store.
By placing an order, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.
Payment
Payments are processed through Paytrail Oyj.
Available payment methods:
• Online banking
• Payment cards (Visa, Mastercard)
• Mobile payments (MobilePay, Apple Pay, Siirto)
Payment is made at the time of the order.
Delivery
The gift card is delivered via email free of delivery charges.
Delivery usually occurs immediately after payment.
Use of Gift Cards
The gift card is used during the booking process by providing the gift card code.
The gift card can be used for:
• Accommodation bookings
• Other services provided by The Skären
Validity of Gift Cards
The gift card is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
An expired gift card cannot be used and will not be refunded.
The gift card cannot be exchanged for cash.
Lost gift cards will not be replaced.
Right of Withdrawal (Right to Cancel)
Consumers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of purchase in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
• Gift cards that have already been used
• Digital products where delivery has commenced with the customer's consent
Notification of cancellation must be sent via email to: info@theskaren.fi
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of the approved cancellation.

If there is a defect in the product, the customer must contact the seller without delay:

The Finnish Consumer Protection Act applies in cases of defects.
Force Majeure
The Skären is not liable for delays or damages resulting from obstacles beyond its control.
Processing of Personal Data (GDPR)
Customer data is processed for the following purposes:
• Processing of orders
• Customer service
• Legal obligations
Legal basis for processing:
• Contract
• Legal obligation
Data is retained only as long as necessary.
The customer has the right to access their data, request correction or deletion, and restrict processing.

Dispute Resolution
Any disputes shall primarily be resolved through negotiation.
Consumers may refer the matter to:

Changes to Terms
The Skären reserves the right to change these terms.
The terms published at the time of the order shall apply to the purchase.
